A New Year’s Reflection and Look Ahead: From the Desk of Steven Gonzalez, CEO & President
As we reflect on the past year and look forward to 2025, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement for the incredible progress we’ve made at HealthView Home Healthcare Services and Huntington Hospice. This year has been one of growth, connection, and deepened commitment to our mission — and I couldn’t be more proud of the team and community we’ve built together.
In 2024, we’ve not only expanded our team but strengthened our foundation in ways that will propel us into the future. We’ve welcomed new, talented team members whose passion and dedication have already made a significant impact. With each new person who joins our organization, we grow stronger, and we are better equipped to meet the needs of our patients and their families. The future of HealthView and Huntington Hospice is bright, and it’s thanks to the incredible individuals who are now part of our team.
This year, we also connected with more people than ever through the conferences and events we participated in. Through these interactions, we’ve forged lasting relationships and created meaningful connections with others in the industry, many of whom have become our friends. These experiences have not only expanded our network but have enriched us with new perspectives and ideas that will help us continue to grow and improve. It’s through collaboration and shared knowledge that we remain on the cutting edge of home healthcare and hospice care.
A major milestone this year was becoming a proud member of the National Alliance for Care at Home. This new membership allows us to further our commitment to providing the highest quality of care and to collaborate with industry leaders on important initiatives that shape the future of healthcare. Being part of this distinguished group not only validates our efforts but also offers new opportunities to enhance the services we provide to our patients and families.
As I often say, the care we provide isn’t just clinical — it’s deeply human. It’s about relationships, trust, and understanding that we’re all in this together. When our team feels valued and appreciated, that positive energy overflows to the patients and families we serve, creating a cycle of care and compassion.
Perhaps one of the most rewarding accomplishments of 2024 was achieving a 95% Great Place to Work certification. This recognition reflects our ongoing dedication to cultivating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. When we take care of our team, they are empowered to bring the same care and compassion to our patients. This culture of respect, love, and support is at the heart of everything we do. It’s what makes us unique and sets us apart in the industry. We will also be at For All Summit in Las Vegas, April 2025.
To be honest, there’s a feeling I get every day when I think about the work we do — it’s like that excitement you feel right before your birthday or Christmas morning. I get to feel that way every day in my work because I truly believe in the impact we’re making. It’s that sense of joy and purpose that fuels me, and I’m so grateful to be part of this amazing journey with all of you.
Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement for all that we can achieve in 2025. With a larger, more connected team, a continued focus on our culture, and the passion and dedication that defines us, I am confident we will reach new heights in the care we provide. Together, we will continue to innovate, grow, and stay true to our core values of compassion, integrity, and excellence.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Let’s make 2025 a year of even greater impact and success, for our team and for the people we serve.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and fulfilling New Year!
